One Year On – Celebrating the Success of the 8B Bus Service

It is now just over a year since the launch of the 8B bus service, providing an hourly connection between Ipswich and Bramford. As the County Councillor for the area, I’m proud to reflect on the positive impact this service has had on our communities.

Improving local transport links has been a key priority for me since being elected, and I was determined to deliver a solution that worked for residents. By working in partnership with the Parish Council and Ipswich Buses, we were able to develop a strong business case that demonstrated the clear need and demand for the service.

Over the past twelve months, I’ve had many conversations with residents who’ve told me just how much of a difference the 8B has made to their daily lives – enabling access to education, employment, healthcare, and other essential services.

This milestone is a testament to what can be achieved through local collaboration and a shared commitment to improving public transport. I look forward to continuing to support and build on this success in the months and years ahead.
