Working Together to Extend the 88 Bus Hours

I’ve been working closely with First Buses and have today written a letter supporting their bid for additional funding to improve the 88 service for Great Blakenham and Claydon! This funding would allow us to extend operating hours, making a real difference for our growing community. Here’s why this change is so important:

With more residents commuting to Stowmarket and Ipswich every day, extended hours would make it easier for everyone to reach work and return home comfortably.

Better rural connections mean less isolation! Flexible transport helps everyone—families, workers, and the elderly—access services, social gatherings, and community events.
